Our History & Establishment
S.N.S.Y Degree College, Rambagh, Purnea was established in 1984 by visionary educationist and freedom fighter Late Ramlal Singh Yadav with the aim of providing quality higher education to students in the Purnea district of Bihar. The college is named after its co-founder Shiv Narayan Singh Yadav, a prominent social worker and education enthusiast.
Historical Significance of Our Location
Our college campus holds deep historical significance, located in the serene surroundings of Rambagh away from city clamor. The land itself bears witness to the British-era courthouse, whose remnants remind us of our rich heritage. The presence of the ancient Ahilya Devi temple within our campus adds spiritual significance to this educational sanctuary.
The campus is surrounded by important landmarks - PHC campus to the east, court campus to the west, city road to the north, and Sadar Hospital to the south. Just 500 meters from our college stand two ancient temples - the historic temple and Sati temple, both showcasing magnificent architecture.
